1898 Game of Cards Stabbing

In the Lafayette Advertiser publication of Jan.15,1898 was the following story (paraphased). Twenty miles NW of Crowley, during a dispute relative to a game of cards, Eusebe Fontenot stabbed William LeBleu. Mr. Lebleu was dead the next morning. Fontenot was delivered to sheriff of the parish.
Can anyone shed any light on this incident for me? Any info on who these men were and their families? Where Mr. LeBleu is buried? What were the consquences for Mr. Fontenot? Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks,
Mary Sue Fontenot.
