Deceased Name: Lonnie B. Kyle
SPRINGFIELD - Lonnie B. Kyle, 68, of Springfield died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 25, 1937, in Central City, Ky., the son of Clyde and Irene Smith Kyle. He married Roberta Ann Cohler in 1959 in Springfield.
Mr. Kyle was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in 1955 and 1956. He was a diesel mechanic for Laidlaw Transit for 14 years. He was a member of Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors: wife, Roberta; three sons, Robert and James Kyle, both of Chatham, and John (wife, Sherry) Kyle of Loami; three daughters, Lonnette (husband, Dale) Barker of Lowder, Troilia (husband, Brad) Bales of Springfield and Tammara Sue (husband, J.R.) Mow of Auburn; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Kyle of Cantrall; two sisters, Alma (husband, Eugene) Pillschafksi and Fronda (husband, Howard) Miller, both of Taylorville; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Ellinger-Kunz Funeral Home, the Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial: Camp Butler National Cemetery.
