My father is Eugene Travis Holt.He was born in Campton, Wolfe County, Ky. He is the son of George Holt Jr. b. June 16, 1913 in Casey Co.,Ky.d. Sept,16,1943 in Campton,Wolfe Co.,Ky. and Mary Elizabeth Adkins Holt.
My Grandfather,George Holt Jr. is the son of George M. Holt Sr. b.1880 in Boyle County Kentucky d. June 17,1961 in Campton,Wolfe County,Ky and Loretta Davenport,b. in Casey County ,Ky
Loretta Davenport Holt died before 1920 since in the 1920 Wolfe County Census George M. Holt Sr. is listed as a widower. His son is George Jr. is not listed in his household in the 1920 census. Maybe he went to stay with relatives after the death of his mother.
George Holt Sr. remarried to a woman named Nancy Childers or Childress and had two sons with her,Edwin and William Holt.
George Holt Sr. is the son of William M. Holt b. 1852 in North Carolina and Elvira Davenpert b.1851 in Kentucky.I Found a Record of a William M. Holt and a E.M. Davenport being married on May,25th,1870 in Boyle County,Kentucky. This could be the marriage of William and Elvira.George Holt Sr. had a brother named Mitchell T. "Mitch" Holt b. 1884 in Boyle County, Ky. d. Jan. 1957 in Pine Ridge,Wolfe County,Ky.In the obituary of Mitchell Holt it says that his parents were William Holt and Elvira Davenport Holt,and that he is survived by one brother,George Holt of Wolfe County.
I found the Family of William M. Holt and Elvira Davenport Holt in the 1880 Mitchellsburg,Boyle County Kentucky Census on the www.familysearch.org website

also listed in this house hold as mother in law is Mary L. Gardner 58 Years old born in Kentucky, Father born in England, Mother born in Kentucky.
I know Elvira's maiden name is Davenport since that is what it says in her son Mitchell's Obituary, so I guess her mother must have remarried since her last name is Gardner in this census.
Mitchell Holt is not listed in this census as he was not born until 1884.
In this census, William Holt is listed as 28 years old ,born in North Carolina , Mother and Father born in North Carolina and Elvira is listed as 29 years old ,born in Kentucky, Mother and Father Born in Kentucky
