Hello,
I am researching these Meltons that I know of that were married in Wayne Co., KY.
Hammond, Retta Johnson, William 04 Mar 1802
Nathan Melton to Betsey (or Betsy) Hammond 5 Sep 1807
Joel Melton to Winney Newell (Winifred Neville) 17 Jan 1803
James Melton to Rachel Rutherford 21 Feb 1811
I found Joel & Winney in Coles Co., Missouri in 1850.
I don't know what happened to James or Nathan.
Nathan's father was John Melton. I find resources on the web, not verified, that Joel and James' father was Richard.
Anyone with any information about these Meltons is more than greatly appreciated. I believe my Melton family from Pulaski County, KY are connected. Thanks. Carla
