John A. Vaughn and Martha Parton Vaughn were my great-great grandparents. They were buried in the southwest corner of Evergreen Cemetery in Lineville, Iowa, gray shaft next to Ida Evans. I have considerable detail about John, including his pension records and what is probably a picture of him and a matching picture of his son Stephen.
I descend from his daughter Mary Ellender "Mollie" Vaughn who married James Gideon Haywood Evans. Which of his children do you descend from?
I have never been able to disover much about Martha Parton's parents. Her father was Benjamin Parton; maybe her mother was Mary Lundsford or Lunsford.... Do you have any Parton information?
I am always happy to exchange information or merely to hear from cousins, no matter how distant.
