Harmon/Harman DNA Project
Posted by: James Harmon (ID *****2414) Date: January 07, 2007 at 21:45:01

Our group is looking for a male descendant of any of the children of Hans-Peter Harmon, who settled in Wayne Co. KY and Overton Co. TN in the years between 1805 and 1830. We have found an exact DNA match between Harmon family members in Adair Co. KY (which adjoined Wayne Co. KY in those days) and the family of Isaac I of Pendleton Co. WV. Research shows that Isaac I was from the line of Jacob Hermann/Harman, and Hans-Peter was one of Jacob's sons. If we can fine a candicae with solid research leading back to the Hans-Peter line, we would be willing to help with the cost of a DNA test. This would give the candicate a clear path back to the point at whihc the family first entered the country (1733 at PA). Interested parties can post a note or contact me by e-mail at: 43kubel@comcast.net
