I want to thank you for your reply. I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner, i have been out of town.
The reason i was interrested in the Purlee name is i had a relative tell me we used to spell our name Purlee. I can't prove we did our didn't spell our name Purlee at one time.
It seems i have found the Purlier name in Maryland back in the 1700's.
My G/G/G/grandad was Hezekiah Purl born 1788 Maryland.
I have found Hezekiah in StFrancois Co. Mo. in the 1820's there.
From there he moved to Morgan Co. Mo. in the late 1830's
His Father in-law was Robert Estes born abt. 1747/8 who had a Land Grant in the Missouri Territory, or known as Ste. Genevieve Co. this was before the Louisiana Purchase, from France.
Thanks again for your reply
