before Wayne Co. was Wayne Co.

Does anyone know where I can find records for the area that is now Wayne Co, before it was Wayne Co.? I am looking for records ca. 1780's or so, so they would probably be from Kentucky Co., VA. On all of the VA genealogy sites

The timeline for the area is:

Kentucky Co., VA
Lincoln Co., VA in 1780
Green Co., KY in 1792 (when KY was made a state)
Cumberland Co, KY in 1798
Wayne Co., KY in 1800
