Can anyone in Wayne County help find the life of Florence Worley? She was born the first child of Christopher Columbus (Bud) and Martha A. (Bryant) Worley in 1878. Younger brother Elisha (my grandfather)was born the next year. This family can be found on the 1880 census of Wayne Co. in the Big Sinking Precinct 6. The 1900 census shows Martha as head of household, farmer, Elisha son single, age 18, and Florence age 19 single with son Herman Chas Worley Age 2. Now, I have Herman's birth certificate affidavit signed by Florence in 1942. It says his father is Sim Worley. There is a Sim Alfred Worley under the Isaac Worley's bunch. There is also an S.A. and Florence Worley found in deeds in McCreary Co. However, Sim's death certificate says he was married to someone else at the time of his death. Don't know what happened to Florence, except she left land in Mccreary county that was taken by County commissioner, Mr. King, (who is in jail now for taking property for himself). Anyway, Florence is still a mystery. If anyone can give me any details of that Worley side, I'll dance.
