I don't know if I have a better source for the marriage of Greenberry and Peggy Dodson Thompson, but I do have an additional one, "Wayne County Marriages 1800-1850", Another Researchers Publication. The title page of this booklet does not indicate who compiled the records, when they were compiled or from what source they were taken. That said, this record shows "Thompson, Berry - Peggy Dodson February 2, 1819". I have not yet personally verified the ancestry of Barbara M. Godsey Thompson, but it seems to be generally accepted that Daniel Godsey was her father. I have not run across any information regarding the identity of her mother. Regarding your questions about Irene on the 1860 and 1870 census. Please sned me the census page numbers that you are looking at. I have Daniel and Nancy Thompson Godsey on the 1850 census on page 278. According to other researchers, Daniel died in February 1866 in Wayne County, KY. Nancy is on the 1870 census on page 14. I haven't looked for them yet on the 1860. Cyrenious Keith is the son of Delila Canada and John Keith. They are buried in the Cooper Creek Cemetery, near Greenwood, McCreary County, KY. You can get more information regarding this cemetery at the McCreary County website. Earlier I told you that Hiram Keith was the son of John and Polly. I just read a post from a descendant of Hiram and he says that Hiram's mother is Delila. I have seen two wedding dates used for John and Delila, February 27, 1816 and ca 1820. I have not yet verified either date. If 1816 turns out to be correct, then Hiram is probably Delila's son. I have Mary Ann Flinn, born 1853 to Greenberry and Sarah Johnson Flinn, in my database. However, I have no further information regarding Mary Ann. George Chrisenberry Davis was born September 1881 in Wayne County, KY, died 1909 in Wayne County, KY, and was buried in the Denny Cemetery. He married Martha Ellen Thompson. Martha was born December 1884 and died August 21, 1958. She married Shelby Coffey after George died. I have not yet personally verified these dates. I have no information regarding Martha's parents. Based on your information from the 1900 census, it would seem probable that Martha is the daughter of Mary Flinn and William Thompson. Do you think the William J. Thompson who married Nancy Keith is a different person from the William who married Mary Flinn? I am not sure if I am correctly following what you previously wrote. My husband's 2 great-grandparents were George C. Davis and Naomi "Oma" K. Thompson. George was born between 1810-1816 and died about 1903 in Wayne County, KY. Naomi was born about 1824-1825 in Wayne County. I have also seen Naomi's name given as Anny. I have not had any success in finding Naomi's parents. Should you run across her during your research, please let me know. I have death certificates for John Jasper, state file #22805, and Louisa, state file #4795. Louisa died February 8, 1946 in Yamacraw, Kentucky. Jasper died October 15, 1947 in Yamacraw. They are both buried in the Sammie New Cemetery. Notify Administrator about this message?
