I have went to and rootsweb. I had checked on this information before. Thomas couldn't have been born in 1782 and married in 1782, perphaps 1802?? I contacted the man who submitted that information. He couldn't remember whom he had gotten the information from, but it wasn't from his own research. I don't know if a Delilah was a child of Thomas and Nancy (Davis) Calhoun. There is a Delilah "Lila" Davis whom married James L. Calhoun. I have their son's, Mack Calhoun's death certificate. Delilah did live with Thomas and Nancy for awhile. It has been stated that James Calhoun (without the middle int. L) was the only child of Thomas and Nancy, but this doesn't ring true, according to early census records. Thomas and Nancy's James Calhoun married Mary "Polly" Hogg. Census shows another male child and 2 females. For some reason, people keep blocking out this census information and keep saying James was the only child.
