"Is Joshua (m Betsy Burton) the son of Joshua and Elizabeth? the younger Joshua was born 6 years before they were married.
Deed Book "B" p 565 Was. Co. KY. Aug 19 1802. Jean Lawson conveyed to Joshua Lawson 78 acres in Charlotte Co VA, bounded by Zachariah Lawson and Benjamin Lawson, etc. On Page 593 Oct 29 1802 Josuah and Elizabeth Lawson deeded same land (to another Party) in Charlotte County"
Joshua Lawson b abt 1768 King William Parish ( now Goochland Co.) VA, died between 1850 and 1960, son of George Lawson b abt 1731 King William Parish and Jean ( ) b bef 1739. Married Elizabeth Dickerson Nov 6 1793 Charlotte VA Children : Joshua abt 1787 VA; a dau; a son; Anderson bef 1804; Sally abt 1806; Leanna bef 1809; Jane bef 1816"
