I am looking for information on the Cook and Morgan Families. My GGG grandfather was Frederick Cook b 1797 TN d. 1860/70 Hardin Co, IL. and he married Ruth Morgan b 1797 SC. d. 1850/60 Hardin Co, IL. They married 16 Sep 1818 in Allen County, KY. I believe that Frederick was the son of Hugh Cook listed on the Logan County census in 1810. There is a Samuel Morgan living in Logan County in 1810 also. I am convinced that he is Ruth's father, as in the census, he has one daughter, Ruth's age.
Frederick and Hugh Cook are both in Union County, Illinois in 1820. Frederick moved to Simpson County by 1830 when he was listed on the census. In 1850 and 1860 he is in Hardin County, Illinois.
They had the following children:
1. Morgan W. Cook (1818-aft 1870) moved to Searcy County, AR with wife Winney and daughters

2. Moses P. Cook (1820-aft 1880) who married Louisa Jane Carter and lived in Union County, Illinois and had children: (They are my gg grandparents)
A) Mary Jane (m. John King) and had daughter Eliza
B) Martha
C)John A.W. who married Sarah E. Minton and had: Simuel P., Louisa/Lydia, Jennie Isabel who married James Richard Farmer and had: Susan, Louisa, James J., Nathaniel J., Arthur J. and Joseph Alonzo; and Joseph Elonzo
D) Harriet P. who married George Miller and had daughter Addaline
E)George W.
F)Joseph Francis Levaga who married Mary Christie and had: Harry Frank, Edna L., Oscar J., William C., Lawrence, Lewis, Mary, Leonard and Lela
G) Nancy Isabel who married James Abernathy and had: Nora E., George W., Moses Edward, Lonzo, Nova and Emma
H)Laura A who married Monroe Allen and had: Willis Edward, Clara, John, Alice, Lucy and Harry- She married 2nd William Lanham

J)Amos Jackson married Mary Ann Farmer and had: Effie Della Casey, William Franklin, Rosa Agnes Rhodes, Raleigh Dennis, Osa D. Bush, Rufus Joseph John Henry Harlon James (my grandfather), Martha Owens, Harry L. and Stella Louisa Jane Lodes.
3. Winneta Cook (1822-ca 1871) who married Mr Miller and had children:
A) Harvy Ann
B) Thomas
Winneta married again to William W. Locke and had children:
C) George W.
D) Jas L.
E) William W.
F) Melissa
G) Isaac H. (orphaned young his guardian was Moses Cook)
4. Harry Cook (1824-aft 1850) who married Perella S.
5. Ann Cook (1826- bef 1870) who married John Thorn and had:
A) Henry
B) Melissa J.
C) Rebecca
D) Joseph
6. Susan Cook (1828-aft 1850) who married William Stone
7. Rebecca Cook (1833- aft 1850)
8. Lydia Jane Cook (1834- bef 1871) who m. William Franklin Morgan and had: (They are my ggg grandparents)
A) Herman B. Morgan who m. Rebecca Emaline Smith and hadL Martha Isabelle (my g grandmother who m. James Tweedy), Minnie Smith, Aura Jane Baggett, Charlie, Marshall Monroe and William Edward.
9. Matilda Cook (Mar 1836-30 Oct 1919) who married Benjamin Holbrook (lived in Hardin Co, IL)and had children:
A) William Carroll who m. Minerva and had: Henry, James Otto, Loren, Della and Stella.
B)Asa L.
C) Nancy A. who m. James Hawkins
D) Samuel who m. Mary Simms
E) Mary who m. S.S. Smith and had: Mary and John.
F) Sarah who m. Isaac Hobbs
G) James Frederick who m. Mary Jane Mott and had: Lonzo, Peter and Bennie.
H) Susan C. who m. John Decker and had: Asa, Owen, Myrtle, Lydia, John, Sunny and Goldie.
I) Martha Alice who m. Mort Simmons
