Seeking info for Mary E White b abt 1815 KY d between 1861 and 1870 Scott Co KY.
On Dec 21, 1837 in Scott Co KY, she married William H Adair (b abt 1815 Scott Co KY d 1878 Scott Co KY). I have parents of Wm Adair, but not of Mary White.
William’s brother, Napoleon Bonaparte Adair, married a Catherine Ann White (b abt 1823 KY d Dec 1864 KY) Jan 5 1843 Scott Co KY. One of my Adair cousins who descends from Adair and Catherine White identified Catherine’s parents as Thomas J White (b 1799 KY d May 25 1869 Scott Co KY) and Cassandra [maiden name unknown] (b between 1795 and 1798 KY d Mar 16, 1874 Scott Co. KY). We do not know if Mary E White and Catherine Ann White were sisters; they could have been cousins.
Mary E White Adair was the mother of the following Adair children: (1) David b abt 1839, (2) Martha b abt 1840 (3) Eliza? b abt 1842, (4) Elizabeth Martha b Jan 9 1844 d Nov 29 1881 Calloway Co MO [my gg grandmother who married John Alexander Craighead], (5) Pamela b abt 1847, (6) Amanda b abt Feb 1850, (7) Francis Michael b May 12 1853, (8) Susan b abt 1857, (9) William b betwn 1858-1860, (10) male child b abt 1860. It is believed all the children were born in Scott Co KY.
