Hello Mr. Patterson, We were preparing for a small family reunion in Louisville, Kentucky and I was on the internet trying to do a little research and ran across some of your postings. My name is Kevin Johnson and I will begin by saying that I am very NEW at this and am just starting to pull data together. I am not sure but I believe that somewhere down the line we are probably related. My Grandmother – Mary H. Johnson (Watson was her maiden name) – Born (1918) and raised in Georgetown, KY..(Boston to be exact) My Grandfather – William Craig Johnson – Born in Stamping Ground, KY in 1915, moved to Georgetown. I believe that my grandfather is where the connection is – His mother was Edlena Patterson, one of 12 children to John Fontaine Patterson and Mollie Fox. I believe, and I may be totally wrong as I don’t have any dates to confirm yet (I just have handwritten pieces of paper outlining parents and children), that John Fontaine Patterson’s father, John Patterson, may be the “John A. Patterson” that you mentioned in one of your posts which would put him as the son of Henry Patterson. Below I will try to give you some names that you may or may not recognize based on what I have been able to read so far: John Patterson married Amanda Young – They had a least one child, John Fontaine Patterson John Fontaine Patterson married Mollie Fox and they had 12 children: 1. John Quince Patterson 2. Ed Patterson 3. Clifton Patterson 4. James Patterson 5. George Patterson – married Virginia Johnson, 5 children: Bob, Emma, Polly, Billy, John Clifton 6. Bessie Patterson 7. Sue Patterson 8. Julia Patterson 9. Minnie Patterson 10. Fred Patterson 11. Benjamine Patterson 12. Edlena Patterson (my great-grandmother)- married Harrison Johnson, 3 children a. Julia B Edwards (married JB Edwards) – was a prominent teacher and member of Georgetown community till her death, b. William Craig Johnson(My grandfather) – married Mary H. Watson, moved to Louisville, Ky c. Ella Arrington Johnson – also lived in Louisville Just thought I would try to touch base with you and if you had any information or confirmation of the above I would love to know about it…If it is the case I will also be glad to help you in any way as I am very interested in my Family history and would like to know more.
