I have been researching several Smith families in the Scott & Bourbon County, KY area. Do you know anything about the children listed in the will? My gggg grandfather was a John Smith, apparently he was born in PA between 1760-1770. He was living in Martin County, IN in 1820. There were several Davis families in Martin County at the time. His children were William, John, Thomas & one unknown also several daughters. The oldest 3 sons were born in KY before 1800, the oldest daughter was born in IN in 1801. I think he may have married a Mary Ann Ellis in Bourbon Co,KY in 1795. I am trying to locate the parents of John Smith. I would appreciate any light you could shed on this, thanks.
