I have been looking at this alot today and after reading several post on rootsweb I do not beleive you will find a death certificate for Charles Mckenzie. He is not listed in the death index under any of several name trys between 1911-1920 nor is the person he was with John Emerson. I read they were buried in the same spot by the children because of the condition of the bodies, and there was no doctor/undertaker to generate a death certificate then you will not find one. I found this same problem with some of my family and even traveled to Frankfort to check there just isnt one. However if you live in Rowan County you can go to the library there and they have a free genealogy computer you can use to search for deaths etc. I did however find a marriage record C W Mckinzie married Maggie Spencer 25 July 1900 in Powell County Ky. by the way I read that they were working in Scranton? this is located in Menifee County Kentucky that is where John Andy Emerson was from. Hope this helps
