You have a lot more info on this family than I did, so I'm afaid I can't help with your questions. I am interested in this family though, because my great grandfather, Abraham Nester was one of several families that came from Carroll Co VA to Rowan in the early 1900's; so, that makes me kin to just about everbody that ever lived around Laurel Fork in Carroll County!

I am curious how you determined that Clara M. Largin is the same person as Louada Messer(wife of Wm) buried in the Moore- Messer Cemetery in Rowan. The obit for James Messer in June 2007 buried in the Moore Cemetery says his parents were Wm and Louada Moore Messer. And some researchers say Louada Moore was the daughter of James M. Moore who died 1921 in Rowan and is also buried in the Moore-Messer cemetery.
