Frank,
thanks for the info, obviously not the guy I was looking for, although interesting in itself. His age would have been about the same as my Dad, possible relation? My Dad had a brother, Carl Campbell, but he is still alive somewhere in NC last I heard. Found another intersting piece of info on footnote.com, when I entered my name, Harlas campbell, in the search box. The name appeared on a 1930 census in Breathitt county with a DOB of 1877, lucinda campbell(b1877), william noble(b1929) and Jane Miller(b1859) were other members of the household. My father always said he named me after an uncle of his, this would have to make him a great-uncle though it seems. Harlas being such an uncommon name however, I cant help but think there is a connection. Any suggestions on how I might follow this up? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
