Dr Henry Clay Clark did have a sister, Mary, born abt 1841, but she was unmarried and still living at home in 1860. I cannot find any death records for eith John or Mry Hampton. The only death record is in Pendleton Co for an unnamed 3 week old male, child of J W & M Hampton in Jan 1874. It doesn't list the parents actual names, just initials. A john w hampton (couldn't be yours though born 27 Aug 1855 & died at age 58. I could not find your couple's marriage record in Pendleton Co and I have those records. Maybe posting it to Bracken Co will help.
