Elijah Yager, father of John R. Yager moved to Oldham Co.Ky
sometimes in early 1800s built the first house in Floydsburg
from which he operated a mercantile store for years. Have
traced my ancestry to Germanna Colony No.2 and am trying to
find out more about some of my ancestors. Never had any
proof of the Floydsburg Mercantile Store but I see a house is listed as a historical place, named "Yager House" in
Floydsburg. Can anyone shed any light on this subject of
either Elijah Yager or John Redd Yeager? Thanks a lot.
