I did a little checking on this and found that there was a Mary M. Swats in the 1870 Harrison Co. Indiana census. This is what I found:
Swats, Sarah age 40 born Ind.
Armento ? 18 "
Freborn ? 16
Mary M. 13
Rachel E. 11
I then went to 1860 and found that Sarah was married to Jacob Swats. I feel that this Mary M. might very well be your Mary M. Would the age fit?
