I am wondering if Andrew Hynes might be the father of a Nancy Hynes from Bardstown, KY, that married William Pope DuVal. Wm Pope DuVal became the first territorial governor of Florida from 1822-1834 and there is extensive biography of him on the internet. He maintained a home in Bardstown although I am not sure of the dates of that. The DuVal Family Association also has information on the Hynes family. Nancy Hynes died of a fever epidemic in St. Joseph County, Florica, and is not buried in Kentucky. Wm Pope DuVal and his daughter, Elizabeth DuVal Beall wife of Samuel Beall of Bardstown, went to Travis County (Austin) Texas ca 1848. Elizabeth DuVal Beall was my great great grandmother. This family's buriel site is Oakwood Cemetery, Travis County, Texas, escept that William Pope DuVal is buried in the Congressional Cemetery in Washington, DC. Hope this information helps, but sorry I have nothing on the removal of the tombstone.
