Thanks for replying Debbie. I would love to see copies of the old homestead. Where exactly is it located? I grew up on Bennet's Lane in Bardstown, is that where the cemetary is located? We went back there many times when I was a child (Mildred Bowman Culver)my g. grandmother, used to pay us to go up and clear it off. If we're talking about the same cemetary there is also remnamts of an old house back there, I don't know the history of it. Thanks for the info on the "Melungeon". I'm also doing some research on the "Bunch" line of my family and that keeps coming up so I'll check out the websites you provided.
One other question, I was told by someone else that John Wesley, Sr. went by "Wes" and John Wesley, Jr went by "Boss". I didn't know if that was correct or not. My father had told me that John Wesley, Sr. went by "Boss", just as you said. Thanks again. If you want to contact me directly email me at crystalnewton@msn.com.
