Tim, this is more gossip than genealogy. There is a Ballard doctor here in Lexington that we're sort of acqainted with. Can't think of his first name, though. We just got back from a Carib. cruise with a Jack Ballard of Lexington on board (family from Owen Co.) His wife was Martha Heady, a cousin of the Bryan Heady pictured in a very recent Ky. Standard. She also has Snider, Thomas and Herndon ancestry and many relatives buried at Big Spring. I find I have her nearly complete ancestry back at least 4-5 generations.
I wrote another letter to "our" editor in late November on the subject of permission to publish those old articles. Again he has not responded in any form whatsoever.
I guess I ought to be sending this to you by e-mail, but thought I'd put it here because of reference to Nelson families
May I presume you have no connection with the Bland Ballard bunch nearer to Louisville?
