I do certify that a writ of Error hath issued from this office for the reversal of a judgment obtained by Thomas McGee, Mary Cox and Jonathan Cox, her husband, late McGee, Jane Cox and Isaac Cox, her husband, late Jane McGee, John B. T. McGee, James McGee, Eliza D. McGee, Christiani McGee, Joseph L. McGee, Robert B. McGee, Sara McGee and Abijah McGee against Hugh Holmes and Elizabeth, his wife late Briscoe, Briscoe Baldwin, Cornelius Bladwin, Robert Baldwin, heirs of Polly Baldwin, Late Polly Briscoe, Nicholas Crist and Ruth, his wife, late Ruth Briscoe, Edward Briscoe and his wife Elizabeth Briscoe, Absolum Froman and Nelly Lewallen Froman, his wife, late Briscoe, Henrietta Briscoe, Harrrison Briscoe, Frances Briscoe, Martha Briscoe, heirs of Ann Briscoe, late wife of Parmenas Briscoe and the said Parmenas Briscoe, heir of Gerrard Briscoe, deceased, in the Circuit Court of Nelson County at their October Term, 1816, in a certain action of Ejectment for lands and costs, which writ of Errors to operate as supercedence and as such is to be obeyed. Given under my hand this 23th day of November, 1816.

This indenture made this 22nd day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred & eighteen between Henry Cotton of Switzerland County in the State of Indiana, Thomas McGee and Elziabeth his wife of Jefferson County, Jonathan Cox and Mary his wife, and James McGee of Shelby County, John B. McGee and Elizabeth his wife, Richard A. Taylor & Sarah his wife, and William I. McGee of Hardin County, Isaac Cox & Jane his wife, Nicholas N. Cartmell and Elizabeth his wife, Robert R. McGee and Abijah McGee of Nelson County, party of the first part and Joseph L. McGee of Nelson County of the second part, of the State of Kentucky except the said Henry Cotton, being heirs and representative of John McGee deceased. Whereas Abner King and Patrick McGee by virtue and in obedience to an order of the County Court of the said Nelson County did make partition of the lands of which the said John McGee died seized and possessed and whereas the said Christine, one of the parconers intermarried with the said Henry Cotton and departed this life before the said commissioners – conveyed to her – the lands allotted to her – it is considered that the lands allotted – to the said Christine have descended and are now vested in the parties to this indenture.
