Mason, Gillie A., wife, age 21, b. KY
Mason, Richard H., 5, son, b. KY
Mason, Bittie, daughter, age 1, b. KY
Sweat, Julia, sister, 23, b. KY
Sweat, Maranda (Mannda), 9/12, b. Sep, neice, b. KY
1900 Muhlenberg Co., Paradise Dist., enumerated 9 June:
Dwelling 101.
Mason, Henry W., black, b. Dec 1851, age 48, married 26 yrs, b. KY, coal miner
Mason, Gillie A., wife, b. Jul 1859, age 40, gave birth to 4 children, 3 survive, b. KY
Mason, John B., son, b. Feb 1886, age 14, b. KY
I believe these two families are the same people.
The death record of Angeline Rhoads states that her father was John Mason and her mother was Edna McCoy. Angeline died March 21, 1915, and the informant of the death record was H. W. Mason.
There is also a death record of a Rotha Baker, colored; she died August 11, 1920; her death record indicates that her father was Isaac Mason in Butler Co., and her mother Angeline Mason. Rotha was born Aug 17, 1861 in Butler Co., KY.
The David H. Mason, who appeared with Gillie A. Mason in the June 1880 census, died in Muhlenberg Co., March 8, 1922; his death record states his father was Jack Mason. (Could this be a nickname for John?)
