My ancestor was Jeremiah Dexter, who is on the 1799 tax list of Muhlenberg County on July 11th. In 1804 he entered 400 acres on Green River "beginning on the river at MEAD’s upper corner running out from the river with said MEAD’s said line to the corner of a tract of land on which Silas DEXTER now lives & and with said DEXTER’s line to John CORNWELL’s corner white oak and sugar tree then with the said CORNWELL’s line to the corner then binding on the two next lines of the said CORNWELL’s survey and running to the river and with the meanders thereof to the beginning so as to include the quantity."
How can I locate this land? I was in Muhlenberg County this week, but did not know how to locate the land described above. Can anyone help?
Silas Dexter was probably Jeremiah's father and John Cornwell married Jemimah Dexter, the third daughter of Silas Dexter.
