I have Fannin and Blair lines in my family too. I have visited West Liberty several times and have usually been unsuccessful in finding any historical society representatives available for contact. The library looks magnificent, but personnel & resources were not helpful there. Courthouse personnel allow one to dig on ones' own, but have little time or effort to spend with out of towners needing genealogical help.

I hope you find some help. Unfortunately, I found none and had relatives there as property owners & married there in 1830, but little help now.
