My great grandfather, James Elbert Templeton was a practicing country doctor in in Dingus near West Liberty, Morgan County, KY from ~1870 till ~1892 and Scott County, VA from ~1892 till the '20s. I'm interested in anyone with relatives who were Civil War vets who may have obtained physician's statements for their pension applications from him. I'd like to get copies of these statements if I can uncover any more. These statements were a basic requirement for folks to obtain these pensions, the one I've uncovered to date is signed by him as J. E. Templeton
