Help! I am searching for my Cockrell/Cockrill & Loveless/Lovelace Families while trying to solve a "murder?"mystery. My Grt Grandfather Milburn L. Cockrell was born in Morgan Ky. maybe Blackwater, Ezell. My Grandmother always told us that he ran away from his home in Kentucky at 14 years of age. I just found out that he really left because the Sheriff was after him. He had "accidently" killed a black women and the law was after him. His parents, Jeremiah Vardeman Cockrell and Mary Ann Loveless, got scared and but him on a train to his Uncle Peter Anyx Day's place in Parker Kansas. This must have happened around 1880 because we know the families folowled him by wagon train in 1883 and Milburn was born around 1866 making him turn 14 in about 1880.
