Goins Whitlock and Long in Madison Co, KY
Posted by: Pam Long (ID *****0417) Date: July 02, 2013 at 18:35:31

Lucy Ann Long daughter of Richard Long married Valentine Whitlock in Louisa Co, VA 1823.
Believe that she had a brother by the name of Thomas Long b 1803, married 1822, Louisa Co, VA.
Lucy Ann Long then married 2nd Thomas Goins. Some of the Whitlock Goins cousins married intertwining the lines.
I found a tree online that indicates that there was also a brother named John S Long who married Emily Jennings and sister Mary (Polly) Long who never married. I did find them in census records there, but, Lucy Long Goins disappears after 1860.
I would like to make contact with any Long male descendant. My husband has done a DNA test and we know where the line goes back, just not sure of a couple of lines in between. Sure would like to learn more.
I do know that Lucy Long's father is definetly named Richard according to her marriage record. We know that Thomas named his oldest son, Richard (likely after his father).
Any help greatly appreciated.

I will be going out of town in the next week and gone about 10 days and may not have much computer time, so do not give up on me.
