While I haven't been able to locate Marguerita's family, I do wonder if maybe she wasn't associated to this surname from Meade Co. KY.
I do find the following on this surname in Livingston County, IL, and wondering if this could be a possible clue or lead to finding your Marguerita ancestry:

(I don't find a Carl, Karl, or Bernard Edm*nd* that would fit the Carl above, this Bert is the closest)
While there wasn't a Margaret or similar with this family, a search of the 1910 census for Meade Co KY
I came up with this: (searched for Edm*nd*, b. 1895 +-5 years) only one result for a Margaret type name:
