Looking for anyone that has any information concerning my gggrandfather George Charles Nelson. The only information that I have acquired is that he was born about 1838 KY. He md Margaret abt 1865 in Calhoun Co. IL. They had 7 children- James T. 1867, Mary Josephine 1869, George Cook 1871, Rose E. 1873, John Walter 1877(my ggrandfather), Charlotte 1880, and Glenere Gertrude 1886. I also know that he served in Co "D" 10th Illinois Inf. 1861-1865. In 1870 and 1880 they were in Miller, Maries Co. MO according to the census. According to those census George Charles said that his parents were born in Scotland. I know that Margaret Elizabeth Rowden Nelson died in Ketchum OK and is buried at the Ketchum Cemetery, Ketchum, OK. I'm searching for George Charles Walter's parents, siblings, where and when he died and where he is buried.
