Thanks for the response. I do have a copy of the actual marriage record. The handwriting makes it hard to read. For years I thought Talitha's name was Tabitha because that is how it usually appears. I wasn't sure if the middle name was Cumi or Gumi. But I have death certificates for several of her children. The spelling of her name varies on these, too, but it is always much closer to Talitha than Tabitha. As for the middle name, turns out that this is a Biblical "name", used in conjunction with Talitha. In the story where Jesus raises the young girl from the dead, he says to her something like "Talitha Cumi, arise". Apparently "Talitha Cumi" translates as "young girl". Given all of this, I feel pretty certain that her proper name was Talitha Cumi. But, of course, since it is misspelled on one source it could (and probably is) on others. This only makes it more of a challenge to track her!
