Hi,
You can find alot about Fess Whitaker by putting his name in google.
I did find him on the WW1 Draft Cards for Letcher co. Ky. and his birth date was given as June 17, 1880.
Also on google I found his death date as Sept. 18, 1927 he was killed in an auto accident.
