Thanks again, Yvonne, since I have a few minutes today I am on my way to the Ellis Island site to see if I can do anything with the confirmed info you sent along.
Also, I just realized that I left out info that would surely help anyone on this Kentucky that might be searching for their Ryan family.
Maria and Philip had 9+ children as follows:
1. Elizabeth Mary Ryan Patterson Nov 17 1900 (my grandmother)lived in Howell Twnshp, Monmouth Cty, NJ as part of a rather large Patterson clan.
2. Margaret Ryan (she married a Furlong and moved to Texas)
3. Marie Ryan
4. Helen Ryan
5. Richard Ryan
6. Anna Ryan
7. John Ryan
8. William Ryan (Kentucky connection)others names associated with this William, would be Philip and possibly Peter?
9. and an unknown named boy.
To my knowledge Maria J Sweeney and Philip M Ryan lived out their days in or near the Neptune/Ocean Grove area of Ocean Township, Monmouth Cty NJ.
My brother has gone over to Mount Calvary Cemetary and was given grave locations but was not able to find them. Mount Calvary is not currently online and am told, NEVER answers their phone for geneological info. Less than cooperative were the people working there.
