Looking for information on William Garret Smith born around 1815 possibly in KY or VA. He married Hepsebeth Jane Crain.
They had Thomas Andrew born 17 Jun 1870, Ruthey M. born abt 1872. Now for the confusion, The census says that Andrew J. Smith was head of household for 1870, 80, 90, 1900. Jane was wife. Thomas had a son named William Garret born 1902. This info was submitted by a close family member at the time. No further info on WIlliam (the elder). Also 1900 census for Boone Co, AR was last known record for Andrew. Thomas and wife Frances, with mother Jane and sister Ruthey show up in Bryan Co, OK (Indian Territory) without Andrew in 1910 census. I do know they left AR around 1905 as one of Thomas's sons was born 1906 in OK. Question 1: When and where was WIlliam (the elder) born Question 2: When and where did he and ANdrew pass away?
Question 3: Were William and Andrew brothers? I have an extensive tree from Thomas to present but thats where its gets real fuzzy. Any help greatly appreciated.
