I’m looking for information on my maternal grandfather Nolen Walter POOLE. Born near Fulton, KY on 6 April 1890 to Charles Marion POOLE and Mary Yettie ADAMS, he is listed in the 1900 Graves Co KY census. I cannot find him anywhere in the 1910 census. It is possible that he was in Missouri living with his half-brother Edwin POOLE near Jefferson City, but I have not found him there. He could be living with a half-sister Mary Poole MOHUNDRO in East Alton, IL.
He was drafted into WW1 from Cole Co, MO in 1917. He somehow ended up getting a job as a meat salesman with Wilson Foods and is in Drumright, Creek Co, OK by 1919, where he married Cecil Eva KING on 2 August.
If it is assumed that he remained in KY until his mother’s death in 1906, then were was he for the 11 years until he was drafted? Any help on Nolen is greatly appreciated.
