Parents of Denton D. Masengale b. 1882 Tennessee

Hi-

My great-great-grandfather is Denton D. Masengale, born in Tennessee c. 1882, moved to Kentucky where he married and had his children, then moved to Oklahoma around 1919, where he died between 1924 and 1929. He was married to Sallie Emerine Perdue, born c. 1888 in Kentucky. Their children were: Melvin O., Marvin D., Alta, Roxie/Rosie, Sallie, Walter S., Marion E., Clay London, Grace L., Evert R. and Glen C.

I cannot find Denton's parents, for the life of me. My only clue is William A. Massengale m. Elizabeth Denton... only because her maiden name is Denton and the birth/death dates work out.
