I am searching for the marriage record of the following couple who were, I believe, married in Morgan County KY. (possibly a neighboring county) Also find a birth record of any of their children in hopes of finding Nancy's maiden name in case marriage record can not be located.
1850 Wayne County
John Adkins...age 40 VA...occupation cooper
Nancy ...age 40 VA
Anna ADKINS------age 19 b: ABT 1831 in ,,Kentucky
William ADKINS ---age 15 b: 3 MAR 1835 in ,,Kentucky.........blind
Reuben ADKINS.....age 14.... b: ABT 1836 in ,,Kentucky
John ADKINS....age 7 b: ABT 1843 in ,,Kentucky
Riley ADKINS.....age 6 b: ABT 1844 in ,,Kentucky
Nathan....age 4 KY..born about 5-31- 1846
James Johnson age 5
I believe this is the same John Adkins who was found living in Morgan Co. KY 1840 census. I STRONGLY believe that his wife is NOT Nancy Tooley OR Nancy Morrison that I have found on a few family trees online. (their ages and ages of their children are not matching up with my John and his family)
I have this family recorded on all latter census's.. I am still trying to find his parents. I believe his parents to be Frederick Adkins and Millie Slone..but I need some solid proof if anyone has anything to offer.
