Need Help on Stephenson Family of Owen Co Ky

1880 Census for Owen Co Ky has a John Stephenson aged 23 b Ky living with him as head of household is Mary b ca 1825
(Mother?) and a bro Thomas 19 Born Illinois.

Who was father? Was he deceased? Need help on this line.I am trying to see if this Thomas is the line I am searching for.

Any help or clues would be greatly appreciated.
