I know it's been a long time since you posted this, so I hope you're still tending your family tree. My father, Roy Davis, was the grandson of Clinton Boyle Helm, the second husband of Katura Wheat. They raised my father from the age of six until Clinton's death in 1913. Like you, I have no information on Katura (my father called her "Kitty" and "Mammy Kate")-- where she went, where she died, where she is buried. My dad's father, Rolla Davis, was murdered July 4, 1908 in Perryville, KY by brothers Samuel and Thomas Wheat. They all were at a baseball game in Perryville. Thomas was drunk and behaving badly. Rolla tried to stop him. They got in a fight that Samuel joined and they beat Rolla to death with baseball bats. That's why Samuel was in the penitentiary in 1910. He and Thomas each got twenty year sentences. I have the newspaper accounts of the murder and the murder trials. Samuel is buried at the cemetery in Perryville as is Rolla. If you've learned any more about Katura or want me to mail you copies of the material I have, I'd sure enjoy hearing from you.

Best Regards, Roy Davis
