Hi! I am a Brown, Hancock, Haralson, Pillow, Carman, Basham... Oh, I could go on! My family has roots in McLean County since the early 1800s. I am wanting to know more about my Hancock family roots. I know about the Hancock cemetery, but I haven't been there before.
I want information on William Hancock and Parthenia Hancock of the 1870 census and their granddaughther, Parthenia Brown Pillow who died in childbirth in the 1890s. She is buried at Bethel Baptist (unmarked) with her husband, William Pillow.
