I am trying to determine who were the parents of James Ward born Fincastle Va 1758. He married Elizabeth Williamson dau. of Alden Williamson in 1810 and settled at Rockcastle where Inez is now. Need help from his descendants like family records, old bibles, family history, court papers, deeds, etc. Does anyone have anything? He had 9 children one was Nathan married to Araminta Preston of " Araminta Ward's Bottom" the site of Eden, now Inez. Wells Ward Jr., sheriff of Martin Co. was one of his grandsons. His daughter Alifair married Ruben Crum and Elizabeth lived with them in her old age. All CRUMS check your family records for info. Other children were: Sarah m. Freeman Copley, Elizabeth M. James Delong, James m. Cynthia Young, Margaret m. John Conley, Soloman m. Lucretia Porter but he died and she remarried Alexander Cassady, George Washington m. Nancy Clay (this is Professor Ward's family. The professor must have written about his grandfather???)) Some lists have Morgania m. to George Murry, and Emanuel m. Matilda Moseley. Emanuel died in Civil War without children. If you descend from any of these families please contact me if you have any info. Thanks
