Rhonda, In the Madison County Marriage Records, Vol. I, 1786-1822 by Kathy and Bill Vockery, 1999 on page 71 is listed: "ROGERS, Harris, bride PARKES, Margaret. Bond date 5 Oct 1799 returned 15 Oct 1799. Bondsman PARKS, Nathan. Consent, PARKS, Timothy & Hatty, parents of bride". (Gee, this sure sounds like a son of the couple named him after his grandfather) Other Rogers on same page as groom include: Nathan (m. Delphia Bowling, Benjamin Bolling, father, bond 17 Jun 1821 returned 21 Jun 1821. Bondsman William Wright) Walden (m. Sally Estes, Elisha Estes father, bond date 22 Mar 1821 returned 25 Mar 1821. Bondsman Elisha Estes) Other Rogers listed as "other" in the book: Anthony, Benjamin, Hiram. Harris is listed as a bondsman for another couple (groom Benjamin Gilstrap, bride Mrs. Nancy McNeely. Bond date 31 Aug 1807, no other information in listing of people or dates) Rogers-Rodgers brides include: Anna, Ibby, Isabel, Margaret, Mary, Nelly In Vol. II, 1823-1851, Rogers grooms are listed as: Adam C., Allen (Harris is listed as the bondsman, bride is Elza Tracy, date 2 Apr 1827 no further info in listing), Barclay, Bartley, Felix (Julias Rogers listed as father of the groom), Josiah, Samuel "Others Index" has Adam Rogers "Brides Index" has Elizabeth, Ester Ann, Leanna, Margaret Jane, Parthena, Peggy Rogers.
