My Mother's family is of the Lyon/Caldwell county Martins.
My Great-Great-Great Uncle was the John Martin of this thread. My Great Great Great Grnadfather is his brother Franklin Martin who is married to a Louisa. If you have any info to these distant relatives that would be great! I am planning a trip to Kentucky/Missouri to further my research. The father of John and Franklin Martin is John Martin born in 1781 in pennsylvania and married a Kentuckian by the name of Jency who is the Mother of Both Frankilin and the John that this thread refers to. Her maiden name is as yet unknown to me.
