Have you checked President Andrew
Jacksons genealogy??
His Mother whose name I believe was
Elizabeth Hutchinson had a Sister named
Jane "Jenet", she was married to
a James Crawford and they lived in
the Waxhaw settlement in South Carolina.
The future President Andrew Jacksons,
Father was also Andrew Jackson.
He died when Andrews Mother was
pregnant with Andrew in 1767.
Although he is said to have been born at the home of another of her Sisters
Sarah Hutchinson Lindseys, Andrew, his
Mother and older Brothers Hugh and
Robert spent some time, living at the home, of their Aunt and Uncle Jane and James Crawfords home. I have read the Waxhaw settlement was on the North & South Carolina line. I have also read Pres. Andrew Jackson had family in the Livingston Co., Ky area and he did
visit them. You have to look around the WWW to gain more information as mine is secondhand and incomplete.
Andrew Jacksons father was from Ireland and so was his Uncle James Crawford.
I do not know about the Hutchinsons.
The future President was left an orpahn around the time he entered his teens
with his Mother also dying. His Brothers Hugh and Robert had preceeded her in
death.
I have been trying to trace this family as there are some connections to mine, mine may be through his wife Rachael
Donelson, Robards Jackson.
Andrew and Rachael did not have children of their own, although they did adopt a nephew of Rachaels naming him Andrew
Jackson Jr.
Many of my own family members moved to Livingston, Caldwell and Crittenden
Counties in Ky.
