Patricia,It appears that Ozeoro Furnace is the same as Hopewell Furnace based on Historical Marker 1349. The marker is at Mint Springs Baptist Church, Kentucky Highway 70, 8 miles east of Smithland. Visit Kentucky Historical Society and click on Historical Marker Datebase. John Thomas Step, born 30 Dec 1857, parents Vanburen Step and Amanda M. Outlaw. Mildred Maria Stepp, born 25 May 1859, parents Vanburen B. Stepp and Amanda M. Outlaw. I do not see the family on the 1860 census. Hope this helps. Jim Edmonds
