Heard a story about an orphaned brother/sister? c.1815

I am seeking information on the possible whereabouts of Anthony Hinkle during the time period between 1815 and 1831 when he marries Sally Cook in Lincoln county. The family story is that Anthony's father died young and the mother sent Anthony and a sister (name unknown) away to be raised. Anthony lost all contact with his mother and the other siblings. Anthony was born 1810, married 1st Sally Cook (1831), then Amanda George(1841) of Garrard county. If you have a family story about raising/taking in two orphans in the early 1800's I'd love to hear it. It is believed they were orphaned by 1815 and would have been quite young at the time.
